D Division
Built between 1887 and 1894, this served as the front door of the Victoria’s justice system for more than a century. Pentridge closed in 1997 and is now in exclusive hands.
D Division is the most storied building at Pentridge. It was a women's gaol, a remand centre, a place of execution.
One unique venue. Every occasion.
Discover the story
Eleven people were hanged at D Division between 1932 and 1967, including the last woman and the last man legally executed in Australia.
